Testimonials from the MSC program
--"Paulette really brought the Mindful Self-Compassion course alive. I originally enrolled in the program because I am studying mindfulness from a research perspective. I think the stars aligned to bring this program to me at a crucial time in my life. MSC practice and our group cohesion helped me through several difficult life events that occurred unexpectedly during the course of the program. MSC is an invaluable tool for living your best life. The course was truly a gift. Paulette did an amazing job creating a safe, healing environment. She has a fabulous energy and I hope to continue to practice with her in the future.”

--Learning about stress reduction via mindfulness meditation is one of the best gifts I have ever given myself. I took Paulette's class this past spring and can feel the cortisol stress hormone draining from my body when I do my meditation practice.
My focus is much improved and I am much more efficient when doing my work.
I now try to make the most of each day by being mindful of each moment.
My responses to students and to life-situations can come from a more centered place and be more thoughtful, rather than just be "reactive".

--I have participated in several of Paulette's Mindfulness Training workshops. Steeped in research, her retreats offer skills and strategies to negotiate the busy and often stressful pace of our lives. She takes her participants through guided meditations and reflections, focusing on finding peace and compassion for oneself and others. These simple Mindfulness techniques can be used throughout the day, in and out of the classroom. Paulette has trained extensively in Mindfulness Stress-Reduction Meditation, including study with Thich Nhat Hanh, who's "Happy teachers will change the world" teachings resonated through Paulette's workshops and meditation approach.

--Last year was one of the most stressful years of my life. I had been dealing with high cholesterol years. However, with the constant stress my blood pressure became elevated. I had to go on blood pressure medication. The majority of the stress diminished around the beginning of the year but these health issues persisted. I decided to enroll in Paulette’s 4 week introduction to Mindfulness and then the full eight week MBSR program. Less than one month into the MBSR program and after a visit to my physician, I found that my cholesterol levels were within normal limits and my blood pressure had dropped. It may be awhile before I can even consider stopping my medications. I will continue in practicing mindfulness as I have evidence that mindfulness helps improve the quality of health above and beyond that of medication.
